At Jack Gibson Construction Company, we believe that the prevention of accidents is both our moral obligation and good business. Our safety efforts are based on our belief that every working person is entitled to a safe and healthy work environment. It is the policy of our organization to strive for the highest safety standards on all projects. The responsibility for the safety and health of our employees goes far beyond simple compliance with federal and state regulations. It is the result of careful attention to all company operations by those who are directly and indirectly involved. As a working member of our organization and the construction industry, our employees accept this moral obligation and recognize the importance of the economic preservation of our industry. As a company, we recognize that the protection of our employees and all operations under their care, custody and control are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. The protection of property, the public and environment are essential to the successful completion of every project we undertake.
Our Accident and Prevention Program includes site specific safety training of our project managers, site supervisors and our craft workforce. All of our Project Managers, Estimators, Supervisors and most of our Foremen carry the OSHA 30 Hour Card. We address the basic steps to perform all phases of work in our industry safety including more specific instructions on trenching and excavation, fall protection, fork lift driver training, scaffolding and confined space. Formal job site inspections are performed by a safety consulting firm. We recognize that accident prevention is a shared obligation. Each individual in our organization is given specific instructions beginning with our President all the way through to our field employees on how to identify and correct unsafe working conditions and more importantly the prevention of unsafe work practices.
Jack Gibson Construction Company is a participant in the Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program. Through this program, we require pre-employment drug screening, random screenings, post accident and for cause drug and alcohol screening.
At Jack Gibson Construction Company our goal continues to be ZERO ACCIDENTS.
